Pre & Post Natal Pilates

Building core and pelvic floor strength through Pilates can assist in the reduction of back and pelvic pain during pregnancy as well as reduced labour lengths. Improving back strength can improve posture and reduce the likelihood of back, neck and shoulder pain when caring for a newborn.

If you are pregnant or had a baby, and wish to participate in Pilates, our qualified Physiotherapists and instructors can guide you safely through your regime and adjust exercises to suit your needs as your body undergoes special changes. Please do note that if you looking to take this up in the third trimester, it may be best to consult with your midwife or GP first to ensure it is appropriate for you.
